The Vuitton Neverfull
By now I would've sworn that I was over logo patterns, but then I started seeing the Vuitton Neverfull bag everywhere.
On TV shows, on celebs (above: Kristin Davies and Heidi from The Hills) .... and they just looked so cool, casual and chic carrying it that I couldn't resist but lust after it. 
The amazing ad campaign they have for it this season doesn't help my case either. 
They make it look so versatile, perfect for a casual summer day....
.. or a fall day going to work. This above is my absolutely favourite look by the way, with her soft wind blown hair, clean barely there make-up, simple chic coat, effortlessly thrown on scarf, stylish jewelry and the bag- it is just perfect! And it doesn't appear like too hard to imitate either. All one needs is the Neverfull bag to spice up a standard chic fall outfit. What a clever ad!
The bag itself even without such great publicity is rather clever too. The shape is super simple, but by making it in a thinner more malleable canvas material and the addition of the strings on the side that can be pulled to make another shape, it becomes a light, convenient (imagine all the things you can fit in there), versatile yet stylish bag. It's a wonder they didn't come up with that earlier! (or have they and I just never noticed until now?)
It actually reminds me a little of the Goyard bag, which I've been lusting after as well, also printed and similarly shaped, made of a more thin and malleable material. I like to think that the Goyard print is a bit more subtle and not as in your face. But then the Neverfull does appear to have more design and versatility to it, with its very cute strings on the side! Oh I can't decide which one I love more!Image Source: E Luxury and Goyard

There's a safety issue with the Neverfull though. It doesn't have a zipper... so if you live in a pickpocketing area, you'll have a problem.
Oh, I would need something with the style to get for my schoolbooks. But maybe not quite that pricey :D.

the goyard one is so much better. it is more subtle and chic.
This comment may be a little biased seeing as I've had the Neverfull for bit more than half an year now..and I still love it. Despite seeing it everywhere, which is admittedly a complete turn-off. However, it's such a versatile bag especially for uni as there is such easy access although the safety is definately an issue. Seeing as the Sydney winter is nearly over, I can assure you that this bag carried me from summer right through to winter- and as I primarily use it as an uni bag it's goes with the majority of my outfits which makes mornings so much easier as I don't need to fuss about my bags.
Although I definately recommend it, I think before buying it, there should be definate consideration regarding the fact that a lot of people do own this bag. So I guess, proceed with caution ;)
I am so tired of watching fake LV bags, that I can't stand their logo.
I much prefer the goyard one.

you should see the damier neverfull bag. its so beautiful! but its available in japan, hawaii and one other country though.
The bag itself is great. I like the shape and the material but I HATE monograms. I have never liked them. Even when they were the "it" thing to have. How about some creativity in the graphics department?
I'm kinda over Vuitton. It's all starting to look the same to me...
Plus, I have a severe issue with purchasing items that make me a walking advertisement for any brand/label. But Kristin Davies is adorable, so she gets a pass. :-P

I was never really too bothered about having a LV bag but my mum bought me the neverfull a while back 'cause it was the most 'heat' bag in HK at the mo. And I've been using it a LOT! It really is extremely versatile and can fit about a million and one things in.
There isn't a LV store near my area so I haven't seen anyone with the same bag. I have the medium sized one but I know someone with the large size and it gets pretty floppy if you don't fill it up, however, if you put heavy things (e.g. a bottle of water) the bottom kinda weighs down. Just a word of warning :)
this is just a regular tote with LV logo! come on!
It's also not very expensive, which makes it more palatable. I have noticed it EVERYWHERE too. If I was to carry it, I'd decorate it with some cute LV charms to make it unique :) (the scarf accessory is just too Coach. ick.)

i'll be getting the neverfull mm in paris in a couple of weeks. its timeless, stylish and yet so practical. can't wait!
my mother got the updated version which was from the spring/summer 08' collection. it had two straps, a longer one and a shorter one. so you can alternate between using it as a carrier bag or a messenger bag. it also had a zipper which i think is good for safety reasons. so, i think you would be better off with the updated version. if you don't mind the extra dollars :)
i love both the neverfull and the goyard st louis tote. though for the neverfull, i prefer the damier one. but, i have the goyard bag and i can tell you it's the best bag ever made, as it is light as a feather, low maintenance because the bag can get wet or fall to the ground, etc without you worrying a thing about it. it's also not as common as the LV bags. just my two cents worth :)

Not really impressed to be honest. Designer bags really have never caught my attention because they are terribly unoriginal and plain.
I'm in love with the Neverfull in Damier but have never even seen it live. I just know they sell it in Hawaii, Japan, and Guam, so I can't wait to pick one up when I start my vacation in HI next week. I also like the Goyard St. Louis tote, but given that I'm getting the Damier Neverfull, I would much rather prefer buying the Goyard Croisiere to have a variety. I don't want to keep collecting totes of the same shape and size. =)
I own the medium sized one, I like it a lot. I happily bought it over a year ago when it first came out and was raved about in Vogue (I thought you guys were meant to be up on these things?) but you're right, it's EVERYWHERE now. Oh well. I'd go with the Goyard bag, simply for something sliiiightly more original.

Is it true that the straps of Neverfull is not that durable? I read in some reviews and blogs that after a few days of use, there is a noticeable wear on the straps. Probably because it's very spacious that you just can't help but pile stuff in there.
I suppose the name of the bag implies that it should be "never - full" at all times.
