ReplyDeleteI like the flap better than the 2.55 and yeah, I'm turning 23 in two days and I must say 30 is faaaar from middle-age. Carrying a Chanel flap bag has nothing to do with age, moreover. I am sure your blog is not limited to the 18-25 demographic and I am sure you want to cater to your "clientele" so be a bit more astute about what you post.

Yes I totally agree! I feel like I'm aging and I will be 20 v soon. To be honest, I have no idea what age range 'middle aged' is supposed to be, but I guess what I'm trying to say is that I thought that Chanel flap bags look more complimentary on females above 19 yrs old. (Except Mischa of course.)

ReplyDeleteFWIW, middle aged usually means the 50ish range. Assuming the best possible scenario is that we all make it to 100 years old, 50 is the middle, get it?

ReplyDeleteI believe, that to carry these bags off, one must have an innate sense of decorum, chicness and dare I say "prestige". Thus, on everyday girls such as the pretentious Ashley Olsen and Lindsay "Poser" Lohan, the bags lose a sense of mystique and decadence for me. Esp. since most of these young girls are trend whores who only garner a particular bag, because it's popular. It used to be that the brand Chanel, implied a sense of opulence and superiority, now it's just some iconic label, which uses celebrities i.e. Lindsay, Selma...to try and make more sales. IMO Chanel speaks for itself, but is significantly down graded when clutched in the paws of the nouveau riche.
