Mobile Phone Charms

We all love our mobiles. Who in this day and age can live without one? But it wasn't until recently I realised the charm of mobile phone charms.

Here's the story, I have a friend who just got the new Motorola Moto PEBL U6 (which is a gorgeous phone btw.) Her birthday was last month and by coincidence, one of her best friends sent her a Tiffany's mobile phone charm all the way from Shanghai, (such a great friend!) Viola! It was a brilliant match. The first time I saw the phone and charm together I was so excited, see here:

Isn't it sooo gorgeous? Maybe it's the sleekness of the Motorola phone, or maybe it's the brilliance of the Tiffany star, but ever since seeing them together, I've been paying a lot more attention to mobile phone charms around me.

Last year, one of my mum's friend got me a Swarovski charm. It's not for sale anymore, but Swarovski does make superb charms, so check them out. Here's one of my favs, which is for sale in store. Isn't it so pretty? If you look carefully at each of the crystals, they're all slightly different in color and texture. The last one is the Swarovski swan (you have to stare at it quite carefully to notice it!)

  1. phone charms are to cell phones as thong panties are to low rise jeans.

  2. i'm not so much a fan either, but a lot of it has to do wth the charm clanking up against the phone all of the time and scratching the casing and making noise. but i can definitely appreciate the charms for their fun factor.

  5. It all depends on the phone charm and whether it matches. And my mom has one from Ferragamo made of black leather and it looks very sophisticated. It just adds a more 'personal touch' to one's phone.

And i definitely like the swarovski one. I have it in blue. . except I kinda lost one of the crystals on it :(

  7. Hong Kong is AMAZING! I've been there and the outlet stores are way better than any mall in North America.

Have you ever been to ShenZhen? They sell fake brand stuff-- which is EXACTLY the same as the real stuff. I got a Tiffany bracelet with the same star charm at this brandname-outlet like mall in Lo Wu. Next time you go to HK I suggest you take the KTR to Lo Wu.

  9. swarovski is anything but expensive(yes, I'm talking real). One little animal costs about 35 dollars. A necklace charm would be....maybe $70-100?

  11. I found a site called www.PrettyGirlieThings.com that has the best selection of cell phone charms that I have seen yet on the internet. They also have the ones that fit on your antenna. My phone doesn't have an antenna, but they were able to take one of the dangle charms and turn it into a strap for me.
P.S. Many of theirs are made from Swarovski stones ~ very bling, but not too pricey.
