Marc by Marc Jacobs SS07 Ads

As the fashion-addicts know, most of the SS07 ads have been released in the past month, which of course caused a lot of excitement among us. One of my favourite ads this season is the Marc by Marc Jacobs ad. True, it looks pretty much like the ones from the past few seasons -afterall, they were shot by Juergen Teller. But I love how the ad really gives off that young and hip vibe. It just feels so Marc by Marc Jacobs. I just really like the clothes and the styling of this shoot! Iekeliene Stange looks so cool in this shot -she (and the clothes) look girly-pretty in the non-cutsy, slightly edgy way.

Another cool, or perhaps slightly odd thing about this ad is that the brand name isn't completely printed on. While I'm sure any normal person knows the ad is by Marc by Marc Jacobs, it's just not normal advertising to not print the full designer name. Anyways, I'm loving the other features of the ad too-the colours are so vibrant and the poses are so fun! Plus, I love the style of the photographs. Pretty cool huh?

Oh btw, NY fashion week has started already. For a fun insider read, check out Derek Blasberg's Fashion Week blog @ Jane.

thoughts about the positioning of the text: we were told in art class that it was more artistic to leave part of the subject beyond the edge of the paper or canvas, which goes against the seemingly innate need to center everything! also, it shows a great deal of confidence to assume readers will fill in the missing letters, and finally, if he is transitioning to marc alone as the trademark this is an artistic way to phase that in. i especially like the first ad with the model standing on the chair.

i think juergen teller is comparable to pollock in that you think you can do it too but it just doesnt quite feel or look the same.

Iekeliene's hair looks cute and shiny in the first ad. But I'm still skeptical about her. Everyone in the industry is going crazy over her, but I still think her face is comme-ci, comme-ca. You wouldn't call a kimodo dragon beautiful just because it was different, would you?

I think marc ads have become way too predictable, always shot by Juergen Teller, always with the lighting and the models... but then again, it makes the ads so distinctive, so I guess it's a give and take situation

I'va always HATED these ads. Dont get me wrong, i love Marc by marc jacons, but seriously, how can he be proud of these photos? They are sooooo bad. I know I could have done better with my old digital camera. These scream unproffesional and I'm sick of them.

Coach Wallets new must-have collection boasts their original designers' likeness. Bonnie Cashin was famed for her outside coin pockets, and these Coach Hamptons have got those too. The best is the ginormous tote with mini leather flowers and equally mini leather purse on Cashin's shoulder. When I first saw the Coach Luggage Bag, I instantly thought of a flower. What better way to start the spring season, than with a Coach Poppy that resembles a pink flower.
And what better way to do this then by watching a special ELLERY QUEEN Tribute with pictures and special funeral music? In its simplest definition, a ELLERY QUEEN DVD Video Tribute is a professionally crafted video production ELLERY QUEEN DVD COLLECTION consists of digital images, video, and/or photos of your loved one, which are then combined and played simultaneously with the music or your choice.
An individual just has to wear a pair of Hogan to know the difference between Hogan scarpe donna products and other brands. The feeling is different, and Hogan scarpe uomo allows the sports person to perform better. But being too specialized presents Hogan uomo fair share of problems.
