The New Perspective

I never used to like Mango. I could never find anything that fit properly and just didn't understand the craze (
everyone in my high school wore something by Mango). But today I've gained some new found respect for the store. I ventured into the store as a last resort trying to desperately find a dress for a wedding. I came out surprised and happy, it was absolutely perfect. I couldn't believe it: I actually found something I liked, and I liked it a lot.

And while Mango has been around forever, it seems so new to me and I'm finding numerous pieces that I preparing to purchase. You see, I'm stubborn and once I don't like something, I hardly ever go back. But good job, Mango. You changed my mind.

These two dresses are beautiful! Especially the first one. I love those frills on the neckline! You could definitely make it casual by adding a pair of skinny jeans and converse/flats. You could also just wear it with a pair of pumps for the evening. And in winter...tights with legwarmers and boots! I just loved the silver dress, ever so elegant and very simple.

Hey E!
I am in total accord with you on the black number. The ruffled V neck in the back makes it so subtly unique. It gives off that air that you know where to shop.

And, I am loving those shoes (well, entired outfit, actually) from the first photo! I love that dress!!

Hello! We have been following your blog and love your site.

My partners and I operate www.ShoeMinx.com, thedailypump.com and www.shuzsociety.com — dynamic sites with a focus on footwear fashion and the shoe industry, specifically as it pertains to celebrity fashion and gossip.

As you may know, Google rewards sites that have strong and relevant link exchange with each other and further rewards them by improving their Page Rank, driving more traffic via organic search. This type of network can really help a conjoined group of sites that are in a niche category like ours: celebrity culture and shoes.

Let me introduce to you "The Wedge Society". We are in the process of building friendly link exchange with other like-minded shoe-blog/shopping and celebrity portals. The Wedge Society allows for more than just simple link exchange and shared traffic. We offer:

• Lead generation revenue
• Content syndication
• email co-registration
• Targeted advertising opportunities

There are numerous examples online of how a network of sites have commanded a higher CPM for advertisers, as well as combined traffic for contests and campaigns. As a network, we have access to key advertisers looking to gain access to our collective audience. We can start serving ads and help you monetize your quality content and traffic right now.

We can also help you open an additional revenue stream through strong 'pay-per-click' relationships with online shoe retailers, due to The Wedge Society's connection to www.ShoeCompare.com...the only online comparison shopping site exclusively for shoes (currently being redeveloped).

Our goal is to bring together as many like-minded, high-quality partners as possible by including them in the The Wedge Society, which is why we are contacting you. We have reached out to a number of sites who have confirmed their participation in The Wedge Society. Some of our confirmed partners are: SheDoesTheCity.com, MizzTissa.com, WideFasion.com, TheShoeDish.com, GrandMShoeBlog.com, ShoeSmitten.com, FantasticToe.com, TheShoeGoddess.com and AskDrSole.blogspot.com.

Our partnership, which comes at no cost to you, serves to strengthen our online presence to a targeted audience of shoe lovers. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss how we can best work together. When might we schedule 20 minutes to chat at your convenience?

Look forward to hearing from you!

Nice dresses indeed!
Look at this dress I found, that Roisin Murphy is wearing, designed by an Romanian designer - http://www.circuit-bored.blogspot.com/.
I also liked the jumpsuit that the designer is wearing, and is cheap too. She is saying that the jumpsuit is made specially for Roisin’s dancers. Sweet!

i agree about giving mango a second chance - i had given up on them but when i went to browse lately i found some decent work dresses at reasonable prices!

however i'm still very skeptical of their dressy items, although they follow current trends very closely, something tends to be lacking, quality especially. whilst i wouldnt mind wearing mango basics for a casual day out, i won't be caught dead in mango for a dress-up event!

I agree with you; Mango's cutting tend to run a bit weird. Personally I find it's made for really tall people.

Dear hejin,
I disagree. At 5'4" (163cm) I am anything but tall, yet my favourite place to shop has been Mango for years. I like it that they have elegant pieces (because that's what I like), but people looking for casual things or really 'boho' things can also find what they want.
I always find numerous clothes that fit me properly and Mango has never let me down, let it be quality or fitting.
And no, I am not paid to say these things.

Ahh I love that silver dress! Thanks so much for posting those pictures. I think I may buy the silver one. Hmmm...would it be inappropriate for a wedding? I'm not in the wedding, just attending the reception. It may be too over-the-top?
