Juicy Couture FW06

Remember back in the days when the trendy people of LA worshiped Juicy Couture and wore its tracksuits everday everywhere? Think hard -surprisingly, this was only about 5 years ago. Fast foward to today, if you visit many big department stores, you'll notice that Juicy has its own big corners, and they don't only sell those terrible tracksuits anymore. Juicy is defintely one of the fastest growing fashion brands I could think of in the past ten years.
Here are some pretty Juicy stuff from this season:

This white tank is simple in a not too simple way. I love it's versatility. Just think, you can wear it day and night to many different activities.

Juicy has always had knit sweaters like this one, but I'm glad to see that the designers finally got rid of Juicy's signature dog and replaced it with an elegant-looking 'J'.
While I personally wouldn't wear this, it does look pretty. Looking at all the frills and the second silk layer at the bottom of the dress, it's nice to see the Juicy designers are actually putting some thoughts into the designers. (Remember how Juicy clothes used to all look the same?)
Fantastic casual clutch. This would totally be great to carry to dinner and would be perfect with blue denim.
The Sophie Studded leather Tote is actually what inspired me to write this blog. I really like how it's feels a bit edgy and very practical. And even though it is no where near the standard of Balenciaga's Motorcycle bag, I still like it... although maybe I would get rid of the charms (the key).
And this season, Juicy has a new high-end line called Couture Couture. I admit I was very skeptical about it at first, but after browsing through some of its clothes, I was quite impressed. While some of the designs are still 'inspired' by other high-end designers, the clothes are still really nice. Two fabulous examples are the cashmere cardigan and pleated tank in the photo above. Unfortunately, the prices are even more impressive.

not a fan of juicy couture, never was.
couture couture seems ridiculously overpriced. although some stuff is nice, its all been done, and something about juicy just screams tacky in my opinion.

i agree. juicy courture sells clothes that you could probably buy at Kohl's for like one third of JC's price. Their stuff is so boring and all their stuff looks the same to me. I am loving the clutch though.

I've never been a fan of Juicy myself, but I'll have to say that I'm really loving that Couture tank.

If it wasn't so expensive, I'd buy that browny-red dress! It's so cute and pretty. Though I have to say, it's not exactly designer. It looks like something you could get from New Look or BHS.

I love the white top but I have to say, they belong to a breed of "What can I wear under this?" type of tops... too thin to go without a bra... but a strapless will probably show. :P

I love the sweater on the couture couture dress though.... is the sweater couture as well or from their regular line?

I LOOOVVEE JUICY. It's been my fav for as long as I can remember. Personally as a teen, im still IN LOVE with the juicy fleece/velour tracksuits! I have to say im not so much into their Couture Couture clothes just because they dont even say the brand anywhere so it looks like it couldve been bought anywhere! I have to say the Boots they have out this season are HIDEOUS though. I love their tracksuits and bags :)

Coming from So California, Juicy was THE tracksuit to wear for a couple of years.
They were comfortable but really expensive for what you were getting.
Mine had pants that were cut wrong-one pair of $120 pants had the side seam twisted all the way to the front!
Their zippers would break after a number of washings, etc.
I am so very glad that we gals have other companies we can buy these comfy clothes.
I was so turned off that I will NEVER buy any more of their clothes, bags or "couture".
Plus, their "Juicy Couture" ads are ridiculous with the beautiful older women dressed in sorbet colored suits and the young boys in angelic-type outfits.

wow, emma w, you are soo not shallow! anyways, i think its soooo tacky and so american that P&G called their new label couture couture, its trying WAY too hard and i dont now why americans think they can just call any old boring tank company somthing couture and have it be cool. so dumb. not me.

These blog replies are fast putting me off buying Juicy Couture, which isn't a bad thing as far as my bank balance is concerned.

Are the Juicy tracksuits not fashionable anymore?

Gawd you guys are crazy. Juicy's sweatsuits are fabulous. It's like wearing your PJs out in public but still looking put together and feeling comfortable. Have you tried on the sweatsuits at Kohls? TOTALLY different fit.
And if you take care of your sweatsuits, wash them in cold water inside out, hang dry them, then throw them in the dryer for like 5 minutes to soften, they will last you forever. I will say I don't love the fleece as much as the velour and the terry, as the fleece doesn't hold up as great. As far as other brands -- 2BFree; Primp; they either fit too clingy or too baggy. I love juicy- my little morkie (yorkie/maltese) Valentina wears Juicy too. luv it!

I love Juicy Couture and have a variety of different colored velour/terry tracksuits. I think for how much I wear them, they're worth every penny. However, I don't like couture couture that much, I find it rather expensive but if you can find it on sale at Nemians or Saks, Go for it! [:

I adore Juicy. And, I am NOT a teen, but a 32 year old mom. Sure, I don't wear the baby pink and baby blue sets as I tend to wear more *natural* colors, but their black velour sets are to die for.

They FIT, and that is why they are better than any cheap department store set. They FIT in a pretty way that accents your curves, and they are so plush and feel so luxurious!

I find people who whine about Juicy are either haters of *pretty* styles, or just plain can't afford it.

Try it, you SO won't be disappointed.

Unbelievable, that's all I can say about this crazy fashion ego hysteria I laughed when my 13 year old niece first took me to Abercrombie to shop. She acted as if her social life was over with out their clothes. Watching the behavior of the parents and there teenage kids, I told my niece they out to change the name to Aberzombies.People just lining up to spend money on over priced clothing.
But now Juicy just takes the cake. My niece was all over this stuff for her birthday gift. When I gave it the once over, I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
Hoodies for 150 dollars.
Made of typical fabric, that you could buy at the Gap for 30 dollars, but because they slap a Juicy label on, it becomes high fashion to die for.
I gave my niece this explanation and some how it got through to her and she decided, she really wasn't that egotistical. What I said was..
"If somebody bought a Ford car and slap a Ferrari label on it would you pay 200,000 for it ?"

Well, i just bought a Juicy bag and I thought their bags were unique and nice. Their prices for their bags are okay. THough, their prices for their clothes are outrageous! Especially since their clothes and bags are made in China!!! Paying $80 for a t-shirt (a silk screen plain t-shirt) was hard to bite.

Hi girls,

I have 3 juicy terry suits, each of which has pulled threads. Some of these are very noticeable. I have tried to pull the threads back through the opposite side of the fabric, but because of the lining this is not possible. Please advise me on what I can do. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,
Juicy Fashionista
