Bobbi Brown: Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner
Using the ultra thin eyeliner brush, we dipped it into the gel (black ink color), dabbed it onto tissue paper and just gently brushed it onto the roots of our lashes-not the fleshy bits as I'd originally thought. First from below the lashes (lifting the lids a bit) and then on the top. Then we blended and smudged the top line with dark eye shadow. And ta-da the eye liner is seamlessly blended and my eyes looked big and defined. This gel eyeliner is just fabulous.
In case you are interested, they also added a dark shade on the contours, pale pink blush (which is now on my list of wants, because since its sheer, it doesn't look too unnaturally pink at all. It looks really nice and pretty), shimmer brick all over (also getting close to be on my list, because the shimmer adds a nice touch. Although I think I'll shop around more for this) and this under eye highlighter thing (which intrigues me, so I'm going to look more into this and compare the effects of this and the Benefit eye highlighter thing). Aw. . .make-up is SO much fun!

I've been using the Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner for awhile now and it's awesome! Glad you discovered it!! :)
I've been using this for about 7 years and i'll never change. best stuff ever! :o)
I swear by this stuff, I've been using it for years! Enjoy =)
i wonder how come you didnt come across this little gem until now!!! it is THE eyeliner to try and it receives so so so many raves on makeupalley.com. i've been using this for the past 2/3 years and this is still the best i've ever tried (im 26 now and been using an eyeliner since 15 so that says something!)
well, although, do make sure you keep the lid on tight ONCE you've finished using it otherwise the thing will dry out very quickly! ;)

can you use this stuff on your lower lid too??
Have you tried MAC's Fluidline Eye-liner gel? I like it better than Bobbi Brown's. Using an angled eyeliner brush also allows a really easy, fluid application!
i also love MAC's fluidline. my favorite color is macroviolet.
HELP! I am such an eyeliner novice. Back in high school I would wear it every once in a while but now I just don't wear it at all! All I wear is powder and mascara for my make up regime.
Anyways I am trying to get back into the swing of things when it comes to make up. So, where should I start on the eyeliner? I mean, is this kind of fluid eyeliner ok even though I would probably not know how to apply it. Also how long does it take to apply?
Any other suggestions for me? About what basics I should know and start with to get back into wearing make up? Help!!
i love MAC's fluidline. It really is easy to use. I don't have much makeup skills so when I used liquid liners or the pencil liners, it would look really strange on me and you can tell how horrible I drew the line but with fluidline, it was different. It is a gel and it goes on smoothly and it last all day. It cost less than BB's gel too.
ditto. I really like this one, but use fluid line by Mac. P.s.. You ladies have officially been tagged. view my latest post.
I absolutely love this. I never cared for fluid liner, but the BB gel liner is a lot easier to use and looks prettier too. I have cobalt ink and the purple one.
Makeup is too hard. I'd rather be ugly.
i lOVE this gel eyeliner, its awesome. but the bobby brown brush isn't.
you should buy the one from mac. it's a lot better
i love BB gel eyeliner, but my fave is just to add some water to the liner brush, dab in one of the eye shadows, and turn the powder into liner...it comes out so pretty!
:) D
I love Bobbi Brown gel eyelinder. It's the only eyelinder that lasted through a full session of ashtanga yoga, that's what you call staying power
Enjoy!

I have spent a lot of time trying to make the upper line, but it always came out wrong. The first eyeliner I used is one of Lancôme I bought for my graduation at high school (yes, the first time ever I put make up on me was in my LAST year of high school !! But I love make up!! ^^), when I was 17. Now I'm 21 and I still have that khol. I tried to make the upper line with it but it didn't work... :(
Then I bought a fluidliner one or two months ago, and it didn't work either... I would have practiced with it, but I lent it my sister and she lost it!! ¬¬ It wasn't a good brand, anyways...
Today I was reading reviews of eyeliners at Ciao and Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner had very good opinions, and some users said it was easy to apply, so I decided to buy it and a brush (41 € all of it!! O_O ) and I have tried it. The thing is that for being my first time I use it I'm quite happy with the result!! ^^ I'm just a little upset because of two things: they didn't had it in black ink, which is the colour I wanted, so I had to buy it in espresso ink, and the brush the shop assistant gave me is a little big, in my opinion, and it was the smallest one she had :( But I'm happy all the same, though!! ^^ Because it means that if I get this results with a brush a little bigger than the one I need, when I have a smaller brush it will come out better!! =D
I'm now thinking about buying more gel eyeliners in other colours... ^^ I have brown eyes and I dye my hair in flaring red. Which colour do you think that would suit me?? If I hadn't my hair dyed it would be easier, because I would be dark-haired almost all colours look good on dark-haired people, or at least are easier to combine. Perhaps I will try MAC's Fluidline Eyeliner, too!! I love to wear the line in the upper eyelid!! ^^
hey !
I'm a french girl...sorry for my bad english!
I can't choose between mac's fluidline and bobbi brown's long-wear gel eyeliner !!! because both of them had very good opinions!
I want to buy an eye liner but which one?
so if you can try to tell me your opinions, it would be nice =)
help-me please ^^
Has anyone tried both that can give me a comparative opinion. Or which of the two do you prefer?
thanks !
i have also used both the bobbi ( bought twice) and now have switched to the mac. I like the mac because i think it is smoother, and I live in the desert and found the bobbi brown brand dries out faster. Plus it's a few bucks cheaper!!
I also love bobbi brown pale pink blush and have been wearing it for years, it looks universally good on all people.
