The OC -The End
So The OC finally ended two weeks ago. Who hasn't watched it by now? The episodes have been so ridiculous (more so than usual) in Jan and Feb that I was kind of glad they ended it. Thankfully, the ending was surprisingly good and satisfying.
In a rather typical Californian-style ending, there was an earthquake. No one got seriously hurt of course, and everyone still looked quite fab, like Summer here. Then there was some crazy, ridiculous story lines about Julie's undecisive marriage to Bullit, Frank and actually, no one. Yes, Julie became independent. The storyline was terrible but I LOVEd Summer and Taylor's bridesmaid dresses. They were SO pretty!! Afterwards, the Cohens had a new little girl and they move to live in Berkeley.
The happiest part of the season finale was the last few minutes where we saw the future. Julie get a business degree -we're so proud of her, seeing how she started off as a gold-digging wife. Summer and Seth got married (thank goodness -we did invest four years in them!) Ryan becomes an architect -I knew there was a reason I loved him more than Seth. He actually has brainss and some sense of responsibility.
And the most touching part? Definitely when Ryan walked down the memory lane -back from when he first arrived at the Cohen's house to those amazing, memorable few seconds when he aw Marissa while he was in the car. I loved those few seconds because she turned out to be such a big part of his life.
Sigh, I'm really really going to miss looking at the beautiful clothes. They were totally the best-dressed cast on TV.
The good news is, Josh Schwartz (the creator of the OC) is now working on his next project, Gossip Girl. I don't know how many of you have actually read the Gossip Girl series, and even though I feel like I'm past the age, I can't wait to see how it's adapted into the small screen!
Bye bye OC!! We'll miss you -at least Season 1 anyway.

I was really annoyed when i missed the finale of the OC. After watching it for a few years I want to know what happened - it's just the same having my sister telling me!
Love your blog - do you want to swap links? My blog is: www.sassybella.com/column
i actually liked the last couple of episodes, they were the ones that got me back into the show. I really liked watching ryan's new girlfriend, she was very funny. After the first season i stopped watching the show cause it got boring for me, marissa just got into too much drama.
I can't wait to watch Gossip Girl! It's actually one of my guilty pleasures... Shh! Don't tell! I am too old to be reading them...but i can't help myself! Ahh, the clothes sounded fabulous when I was just READING about them, i can't wait until I can actually see them on TV!
Aw, glad to see you're an OC fan as well! I actually liked season 2 the most. But the show end on good closure and I'll miss my fashion inspiration ):
ahhhh!! i'm soo excited for gossip girls- thanks for letting us know! i'm going to be watching that thing obsessively.
i think i was the few people who actually enjoyed season 4 (lack of marissa perhaps?) anyway, i will miss looking at the gorgeous clothes too - especially taylor's! she may have been a bit of a freak, but she was undeniabley a fashionable one at that!
gossip girls is also a guilty pleasure for me too. i think im a bit too old for it, but i think it's such a great concept for television. as far as i know, they are casting unknowns, so it should be interesting to watch! and think of all the clothes!... the oc had the cute, laid-back designer charm but gossip girls will have the full on, high-end fashion house/couture! can't wait!
yeah the oc sadly is over
but i'm VERY excited for Gossip Girls
I hear Blake L..(?) from The Traveling Pants movie is Serena...As for Blair, i didn't recognize the name but check out IMDB.com for a little info...
I love the OC fashion but i agree that GG will bring on so much more
The OC was one of the worse tv shows ever! They should have cancled it after the first episode.
The O.C was so much better when Mischa Barton wasn't on it
i hate the oc i don't understand why every one likes it ?! im happy its over bbye !
I have to admit, I've never seen an episode.
I've never actually seen an episode (I kept meaning to watch, but just never really got around to it). But, I do have to say, from the previews and pictures and other such things that I've seen of the show, the wardrobe department did an awesome job. Nothing can ruin a show quicker than a bad wardrobe. BTW, I heart your blog.
OMG, I was waiting for one of you to say something! The OC was totally a style inspiration and sometimes that's the only reason that I watched it!
Omg i cried so hard that episode! I cant believe it's over...
yes, i love imdb. didn't realise they had already updated the gossip girls cast. hmm, im a bit dubious about blake lively, but hopefully she'll do a good job.
aww i'll miss it too, i loved season one and two!
