SAG Awards 2007 Fashion
Award show again, but this time it's the SAG Awards. The winners of the SAG are pretty much the same as the Golden Globes so I'm not going to bother much with who got the awards. Actually, this award seemed so similar to the Golden Globes I wasn't even going to blog about it, but some dresses were so pretty that I couldn't resist.
OK, wow. Katherine Heigl's outfit was pretty disappointing at the Globes, but this dress just looks stunning on her. Plus she carries that old Hollywood look really well. Look at how gorgeous that hair and makeup are...
Sandra Oh (and her stylist) seem much better at selecting the right dresses for her now. She looked elegant in this Armani dress. One thing worth mentioning, Armani (or Armani Prive) totally upped the fashion-meter at the SAG yesterday. A few of the stylishly classic dresses were by Armani -more below:
I love Cate Blanchett's whole look here, from the dress to necklace to the earrings. The dress is such a great fit and cool look on her.
Anne Hathaway in Marchesa -uh, so-and-so I guess. Teri Hatcher -I usually hate Hatcher's fashion, but this dress looks really nice on her, (thanks Armani). At the very least, she doesn't look her usual tacky self.
Sara Ramirez -not bad. The green silk suits her skin tone really nicely. Diane Kruger in Dior -ahh, what can I say? Diane K practically looks pretty in everything.
Ellen Pompeo in Lanvin -I appreciate that she's got her own sense of style, but I'm really not liking the neckline bit of this dress. Kate Walsh -So summery and happy! It's not an amazing dress or anything, but she looks great in it, which at the end of the day is the most important thing.
Helen Mirren -I'm usually not interested what the older actresses wear to award shows, but Mirren looked so lovely and the dress was so suitable for her that I had to post about her.
The Ugly Betty ladies! Becki Newton -She's so gorgeous! Love the hair and makeup. And that dress looks amazing on her. This is definitely an improvement from that ill-fitted dress at the Globes. America Ferrera -Oddly, I don't like her as much as Becki, but she does look elegant in this dress.
Rachel McAdams -Ooo, I've been obsessed with her pink highlights for awhile. As much as the dress is young and cool, I'm not sure this super mini dress was the right choice for the red carpet, but she looks so cute that I'm going to ignore it and just declare her mega-cute!
Whose dress and whole look did you like the most?

ryan goessling or whatver is the hotest guy ever and racheal is soo pretty and awsome and ughh jealous
so i loved...
...katherine heigl...perfect color, hair, make up
...cate blanchett...gorgeous
...kate walsh...very different but cute!
Cate Blanchett and Diane Kruger did it best :)
I looove Cate Blanchett's dress; it's so gorgeous and just the perfect shade of gold. BUT. It seems kind of too short for her! It stops right at her ankles, which is an odd look. I thought the colour of America Ferrera's dress was wonderful with her colour.
I absolutely loved Sara Ramirez's dress, and Sandra Oh's. Then again, maybe I'm just partial to them because I love Grey's.
Ryan and Rachel are like the cutest couple, ever. It's almost disgusting! Sorry Bradgelina.
And I personally think Heigl can wear a garbage bag and pull it off.
I personally love the outfits of Kate Blanchette and Diane Kruger. Oh and I'm loving Rachel McAdams pink hair too.
Everyone is going to hate me for saying this but- I'm totally over Katherine Heigl's redundant old hollywood look. I think she always looks amazing but I feel like I'm looking at the same exact thing at every event.
I love how America and Sara Ramirez rocked the curvy girl silhouette. I love to see normal sized stars looking lovely!
I loved Katherine Heigl and Sara Ramirez, and I've been loving that Armani dress of Cate Blanchett's for a while now, and it looks amazing on her.
I feel terrible for saying this, but I think some of the dresses look odd because the women wearing them have the sillhouettes of 12 year old boys. Blanchett and Hatcher in particular look like their head is about two sizes too large for their emaciated frames.
Finally someone else points out Cate Blanchett's terrible hem length. It cuts off at the ankles and if you see a close up, she's wearing these gaudy platform heels. Would be so much better if the dress hit the floor!
i think america ferrera for a chubby gal is very fancy keeping it simple!
A+
Love Katherine Heigl, Anne Hathaway, Ellen Pompeo and Rachel McAdams. They did pretty good. Specially Rachel.
everyones going on about how tacky and childish rachel mcadams hair is but strangely i love it! its so fun and playful...so tacky its chic!
Katherine Heigl et. al look fine, but they don't hold a candle to Helen Mirren ! She's just oozes class in that dress.
cate blanchett looked fabulous, even with that dress length. I also liked helen mirren, at that age to look that good is an achievement. I was dismayed by the blog comment on not being interested in what older women wear. As a female writer I would have expected some interest in seeing how women who are not stick thin or don't look like they are below fifteen work with fashion and glamour.
Does anyone know who made Katherine's dress? I would really love to get something really similar to that for an upcoming event. Also, does anyone know if anyone made a knock-off of it? Thanks for any help.
This ladies are so gorgeous. I like the way they look.
Katherine Heigl and Kate Blanchett's dresses are my favorite. Why is Rachel McAdams' hair red? She looks silly.
