Tom Ford Sunglasses

I've never been much of a sunglasses girl. Don't get me wrong, I think they look very cool on celebs and most people around me. But personally, I just don't want to spend 300usd on an accessory that I'm going to use probably 5 times a year, (and then it'll probably go out of season.) Which is why I don't pay much attention to sunglasses in general. That is until I got bored shopping one day, I remembered that Ashley Olsen wore Tom Ford's Hawkings (iamge above,) and I tried a few pairs on. (No, I'm not trying them on only because I'm a fan of Ashley's. We have a similar face shape, which as you know, is key to whether glasses look good on one or not.)

I first tried on this pair. When it comes to sunglasses, I prefer metal frames because in my mind, metal frames seem more classic and less cheap-looking. This is one pair of sunglasses that looks trendy but basic enough that I could wear for the next few years. Unfortunately, it looked awful on me.

Then I tried on this extremely trendy-looking pair (called Whitney.) I LOVED it! It suited my roundish face and looked so cool. I liked them so much I tried them on at 3 different shops. But a pair of Tom Fords is about 1.5 times the price of a pair of Marc Jacobs, meaning that they're really expensive, even in this time when accessory prices are going up and up.

The saleslady told me that Tom Ford doesn't exactly have a FW07 collection of sunglasses, but the newer styles that the shops have at the moment are generally new colours of the SS07 styles. This is slightly comforting in that if you bought yours in the SS season, at least you'll know they're still 'in season' for the FW season. But for now, since it's almost winter, I should probably just wait for the SS08 collection. Plus, I'm really not ready to part with 300+usd for a pair of Tom Fords.

i have some knockoff sunglasses exactly like the tom ford plastic-rimmed ones that i got for $16. i say that designer handbags and shoes are great, but sunglasses are something you are most likely to set down and leave someplace, so i wouldn't dare go all-out designer on those. the one thing about those sunglasses, though, is that when you're in you're car and the sun is coming at you from the side, it doesn't have great coverage. other that that, i love them!

I always wait for the Nordstrom sale or hit up a Nordstrom rack. That way I still have a good pair that last but when I loose them or worse sit on my sunglasses, I don't freak out.

Your love of sunglasses will only begin to escalate!
2 years ago, i would have dropped dead if anyone would have told me i'd happily drop £200 for a pair of sunnies - but they're def worth it. You can see the difference too (well, the people with style can)

I know it sounds tacky, but search ebay. Loads of people spend a mint on sunglasses then dispair when the weather disappears and sell them on quick to earn some cash!

So true. So many people forget what an important part that sunglasses are to a fashion ensemble.

The second pair looks like the sunnies Angelina Jolie's been using. Sunglasses are the best accessory to glam up your outfit, although yah people do tend to lose it more often.

Please please don't buy obvious knock-offs though!!!

i believe in splurging on a very good pair of sunglasses, and so i did with my D&G sunnies almost 2 years ago(they were priced more than $500). they are metal framed but the metal parts are all matte white, the shape is similar to 2nd pair u posted(smaller though), and there are very cool swarovski d&g logos on the sides. i cathed the white frame trend, the fancy sides trend, and the tom ford shapes trends, and they still look fashionable. and i got them more than $100 cheaper by haggling, so i advise you to buy sunglasses from small shops!
dont buy knock-offs because they're very bad for your eyes, making you look at the sunlight but not filtering the damaging rays.
u can get raybans, they're cheaper compared to other high-end sunglasses, and they never go out of fashion. and if they do, you can get their lenses replaced to fit new trends.

Buying cheap sunglasses wastes your money and doesn't help your eyes at all... and half the time they don't fit right because their cheap. Either they're crooked or slide down your nose.

So, take my word for it, it's definitely ok to buy a pair of stylish sunglasses that protect your eyes.

Just make sure not to lose them.

tom is overrated even before his hay day at gucci.

his private men's label is as snooty and trite as anything.

sunglasses at these prices are just a no. i'll lose it within a week. i'll stick to cheapies at kenneth cole.

You should try a line called Mercury Sun. They have trendy styles but at trendy prices, so you're never stuck with anything that you feel guilty about replacing when you get sick of it. I feel the same about bags - I just can't spend $1,000 for something I know I'll be tired of after a season.

These are absolutely gorgeous. I got a pair recently at www.sunglassexpo.com. They were cheaper there than anywhere else and 100% authentic. I look fabulous in them and wear them every chance i get. Knockoffs are not the way to go because they do not protect your eyes and their lenses are not up to par.

Most people love to be the owner of some of the branded sunglasses which their favorite celebrity is wearing at present, but unfortunately most of them can’t afford it. This is when the importance of wholesale replica sunglasses comes into the prospect
