The Puffer Trench

Every year when fall comes around, I am shocked by how cold it is. Summer and time does a good job of fading away memories of the bitter cold and biting wind. Walking around, people are pulling out their trench coats against the cold. But is that enough to keep us warm? It IS only made out of a layer of cloth (or two, counting layers) after all. I own one and I don't find it very warm at all. Maybe I'm just more easily chilled than others, but I'm thinking that something a bit more substantial is called for. Luckily for me, Burberry knew just what I was thinking.
I am loving Burberry's latest puffer trench coat. Lined lightly with down, it is most definitely warm enough for fall. Unlike other puff jackets however, it still has SHAPE. A very slimming and flattering trench coat shape at that. What more can you want? It will totally last you all the way through fall (plus or minus some layers) and maybe even winter (probably not for snow though, for snow you need the heavy duty stuff)!

It's cute, but I already have a trench that I love for fall - when it starts to get colder (November, maybe?) could you post a blog about winter coat options this season? I'd really appreciate it!

I don't like it to be honest. maybe the style on the actual jacket.. I can imagine the wrong type of shaped people wearing this and killing the design.

i love the latest puffers and wool coats from mackage, though they're probably better suited to winter than fall:

You know I'm also shocked by the cold snap and also looking for warm clothes but I prefer something made from cashmere. This coat is ok but I don't think it costs so much! There are many nice and stylish coats in stores that cost cheaper!(I can say that I even have seen something very similar to this coat for only 150$)

Shape is my problem when it comes to coats. It just seems you get no good for free.

I think you're....it does have a nice shape. But I have to be honest, it's really too masculine. I actually saw this jacket, looks better in pictures.

It's like a more feminine bomber from late 1980's.

I wouldn't even consider it for a variety.

You should definitely make a post about different winter coats later on. I have the hardest time finding one that is cute but functional.

I love this coat as well. Out of the 42 winter coats I have, I would have to say this is in my top 10. My least favorite thing about the coat is its price. It is sooo cheap. That means anyone could have it, and that's just no fun. I think even a homeless guy could buy it, which is gross.

Where can I get a more affordable puffy coat for winter with a hood?

Very cute, and it looks warm, too. I almost miss Boston because I could wear gorgeous winter coats, and it is too warm where I live now.

I wanted to add that although it's not my favorite. It does serve it's purpose to those women that like it. I can be VERY slimming.

PS. @ drfashionexplosion, I think you need a prescription.

It looks incredibly warm, but I would opt for one of their more classic styles. I am currently in love with their wool trench an NM, but can't justify it right now. I live in northern California so it doesn't get too cold. Haha I'll live without it.

Hm.... not a big fan of puffer coats. But SHAPE you say? I may reconsider!

Burberry is one of the most exclusive menswear brand mostly priced at a thousand GBP on the average. I have seen one at an online shop priced at £716.95.

Burberry has coats/jackets that last and last and keep you warm like you're under your blanket...

sigh~ if only money isn't an issue, then I would hav at least 5 of Burberry's coats in my closet...

Meanwhile, I'll have to make do with cheaper alternatives to outerwear...(check out my posts at http://cutevoice.blogspot.com)
