C&C California

Below is an ad featuring 3 blonde models wearing literally the same thing in different colors. . . this is the C&C California ad.

I am sure all of you have heard of C&C California even if you don't live in the west coast, since its all over the fashion magazines and literally all over the nation. I don't understand WHY they are making such a big deal out of it and WHY they are charging such an outrageous price for something so ordinary and plain.

This classic tee is their signature item. And it is worth $46. I am speechless.

Granted they DO vary their products a bit besides the colors. Through tie-dying. . .

. . and widening the neckline. How fascinating.

The concept of C&C is to create the "Perfect Tee." It should be "easy and wearable, yet certain to exude a laid back appeal," and is especially designed to be layered and mixed. These tee's are certainly all those things stated above. But one can't help but think that this purpose can be similarly achieved with Gap tees, like this one here. This too is 100% cotton, plus it CAN be machine washed. That is an extra bonus. Who wants a plain ol' tee that has to be handwashed anyway?

The charm of C&C California obviously escapes me. . . . . .

Maybe it's one of those things you have to experience. Or maybe it's one of those things they hype. Either way their tees are 100% cotton, I don't understand why you'd have to handwash that in the first place?

And Gap? Had great cami's on sale two for twenty. Sooo soft and pretty. And like you said no handwashing.

Yes, I still don't see how the C&C designs are anything special. But with so many celebrities using these shirts to layer, maybe one does have to experience them to know why they are so raved about.

The only reason I can imagine to buy t-shirts like these from C&C is the following: I just finished doing laundry, and whilst in the middle of folding it, one of my very snobby friends stops by to say hi. She decides to get off her high horse for a few minutes and pitch in, when she notices that the label of my plain yellow t-shirt says "C&C". WOW, is she ever impressed. Go, me!!!

Clearly none of you have owned a C&C tshirt. Maybe you should save your milk money and buy one. Greatest tee on the block and worth every cent. Blows Michael Stars and James Perse out of the water and their dresses are to die for. Don't be bitter because you can't affort them!

I would not advise buying from this company on-line. I had a problem with my order and my four attempts to contact them were ignored. They basically took my money and did not send me product. I had to ask my credit card company for a refund. The worst customer service I have encountered on-line.

Can't comment on a product if they can't get it to you, or at least issue a refund.

i have a few c&c's and they are so perfect. they fit like a dream but look totally casual. gap is not flattering and not well designed. I mean they're find but C&C is well made and very very flattering to your body's natural figure. A gap shirt will make you look like you're gym-bound or traveling around on laundry day. Theyre expensive but a few signature ones.. black/white should be looked into as a wardrobe essential. its tough to splurge but once you do you will never regret your decision. they are the best and so comfy and soft. Also, C&C has sales!
