Thinking About Makeup...
If have been reading our blog for awhile, you would know that I have been on a make-up fast since last Dec. I set the 'fast' for half a year, meaning that June 7 will be the first day I will be allowed to buy makeup again. June 7 just happens to be the day of my last exam so you can guess what I will be doing that afternoon. So in my excitement recently, I have been doing research and making up a list, (I absolutely adore making lists!) And yes, I even like listing my research and thought processes...
First there is Lancome's new Summer makeup collection -Summer Freedom. Daria looks so gorgeous in the ad! OK, since I'm not a fan of the tanned look, I'll definately not be buying the bronzer, but I'm interested in the eye shadow. Daria basically has grey shadow on the eyelids and pink right under the eyebrows. While this is admittingly not a particularly creative combination, I still really like it.
Although to be honest, I'll probably not end up buying the new eye shadow duo, and end up just using whatever old grey and pink eye shadow I have at home.
So what will I be buying? From what I've seen online, I'm in love with Stila's new blush duo: All Over Glow. Pink blush to give a natural flush of pink and a gorgeous shimmer powder to highlight the cheeks -all in one package! Perfect for the natural look. And just think how great it will be for travelling too.
Lip glaze by Stila -I have read rave reviews about the lip glazes (and Barneys Girl also loves them.) The only problem is the over-whelming choice of colors, (and the fact that the makeup ladies at the counters are sometimes seriously unhelpful.)

i might be crazy... but i actually don't like how daria looks in the ad. it looks like she's trying to look like a little girl but failing miserably.
Love the Stila Lip Glaze. I think I might actually be able to finish it. Anon2, I think she sort of looks like Lana from Smallville. Loving the idea of grey/pink eye shadow duo though. Must go get a grey/black eye shadow and try it out!
I have the stila lip glaze in various colors,a neutral, a pop color, and a matte pink; and absoulutely love it!!! The constinency really makes it last forever!!!
daria looks great in the ads! i just bought the new stila cheek duo & eyeshadow trio from their summer collection - they've got a great finish, you might wanna check that out too. i can't wait for the all over glow to come out here:)
First time here-I absolutely love Stila- especially their blushes and glosses. The colors are vibrant, and perfect for summer. I snatched up a cheek duo and can't get enough of it!
Really nicely presented.
i don't know if you are a mac fan but you might want to check out their new collection too... there are some new pigments, eye shadows, blushcremes and fluidlines...
oh also stila had a new "must have" set out which seemed great on the website...
stila has been very unhelpful to me on some occations as well as other brands. because i am 12 i can see why they might be a little more explainatory, but not rude. iwas looking to buy some eyeshadow, lipgloss and shimmer, but when i asked any questions, the woman at the counter just said things like, "it's color can be changed." or sometging like that. i had money and love that brand. nedless to say, i didn't buy anything there. sometimes it doesn't matter about the brand or where i am, the workers just are very rude. i am a very good at usuing makeup and better than some 12th graders. the next time i visited that counter, the woman was very helpful and nice. i got her card, two coupons for a makeup consultation and a free sample, eyeshadow and lipgloss. which goes to show that the was the people treat you can result in you buying something or not. if you have an incedent similar to mine, plaese share it.
I like your site! / Karoline from Sweden
if you buy makeup, you must, must go to neiman marcus if you can! the people there are so nice and so helpful!
In my view every person ought to look at it.
