This Week BG is Loving. . .

This gorgeously delicious rose buckle belt from McQ!
I love the beautiful and intricate design of the rose buckle. It is feminine yet cool. Matched with the perfect width belt, they will be just the thing to spice up and pull together an outfit. I’ve been looking for something like this for the longest time.
Although I might just end up with something even simpler this season. A black patent leather belt with a simple buckle and the perfect width, not too wide or too thin- like this one here from Shop Intuition. I saw something very similar the other day at Lafayette and I really wanted it because it would just match with everything, but alas they were 65euros. I’m not sure something so simple is worth that much. Thoughts?

Yes, 65 euros is way too much for a simple belt like that. Patent belts are so popular now, I'm sure you can find a cheaper knock-off.

About the patent belts:

I got an identical black patent belt (down to the width and buckle design) for 2 dollars at Value Village.

Oooh yes, that's just way too expensive..but then again, everything at lafayette is hell expensive xD it's great just being there looking around though..but i'm sure you know all about that ^^

my rule about anything that seems expensive is that if i really like it and it is of quality and if i can get away with wearing it more than once a week it is worth it.

I practice the same rule, cuz after some time I realize the benefits of such bargains - they'r universal and timeless.

I adore that belt buckle! It just blends cool with couture so perfectly! And I'm LOVING patent leather...that belt in particular is just such a great staple in your closet!

I've seen a belt just like that for $10. You just have to know where to look.

Personally, I prefer to invest in staple pieces like jeans, jackets, coats, shoes, dresses etc but save a bit on fashion items like accessories and tops. However, if you can picture yourself wearing the belt in a couple of seasons, I would definitely not risk buying a copy of lesser quality. :-)

I was holiday shopping and saw chunky belts like that in Urban Outfitters (I believe they were only $20...so that means about 10 euros?). They had them in all different colors...you may want to check there if you're still looking for one. They make great accessories, especially with all of these babydoll/trapeze-like dresses and tops floating around!

Why don't you post on more interesting topics. I think you mustn't post on celebrities because that's even more boring. But you should post on things such as street style and necked girls on magazines, or something like that, you know what I mean dear blogger.
