The Shirt Dress
Having done a lot of online-window-shopping lately, I have come to the conclusion that shirt dresses are quite the thing this spring. And they're quite versatile too if you think about it. You can wear it on its own, as a long jacket, with a belt, over jeans. . .the possibilities are endless. Here are some of the features this season:
By Paul Smith. The blue floral prints are just gorgeous.
By Ben Sherman. With such a very versatile color, this can take you all the way til fall.
By Diesel. Gotta love this retro totally-diesel version of the shirt dress.
From Urban Outfitters. This too is in floral prints, and is oh-so-cute!

I loove those last two. Helps I love Diesel and Urban. Of course I think a short dress over jeans would make me look... shorter. Harrods Girl I think you said somewhere you are in the 5'2" area, so what do you say?
I think the Paul Smith prints are pretty but not quite my style. The Ben Sherman one would look cool if matched with knee length boots when walking around the city. Same for the Diesel one, but the Diesel one is more casual. The UO one looks a bit bland in the photo, but I'm sure it is simply not photogenic. Hmm, I really can't choose which one is my favourite between the last three.
Yups, I am about 5'2". Well, it really depends how you match your clothes. I tried wearing a cami dress with jeans before and they looked great. (The dress I had was actually featured in Teen Vogue and Seventeen.) The trick is to choose jeans of thin denim material and the perfect washing and fitting. Also, the dress must be of perfect length: it should end at least 3 inches above your knees.
I love the urban one, very tempted to get it... I think that if you wear heels, jeans and a belted shirtdress, it can look quite good on short people... or just a shirt dress with high wedge sandals...
