The Ballet-like Shoes

Whether the ballet shoes are 'in' or 'out' is always debateable. But no matter, I still find them cute & chic, and highly versatile. Oh, and by ballet shoes, I mean the ones that really look like real ballet shoes. And the almighty fashion-pschic, me that is, foresees them continuous being produced by influential designers, meaning that it is a must for every fashionable girl's closet.

So I went online to search for all preeety possibilities:

From the girly, chic and modern designer, Kate Spade. Available in pink and black.
Compliment with: A
ll mono-colored skirts and tight black pants; casual to semi-formal.

From the always fabulous designer, Marc Jacobs. Available in many other colors.
Compliment with: Everything! Seriously, the satin material makes the shoes very eye-catching. So they're great to go with casual jeans, pants, skirts and even formal wear!

From the much more affordable brand Seychelles. Available in pink and white.
Compliment with: Everything, but only casual outfits. These are obviously less delicate, so its good for those of you who don't want to be overly girly.

I LOOOVE those kate spade and marc jacobs. Ballet shoes are gorgeous! They're just SO pretty. Although it does make me wonder whether the bow will slip if i tie it around my calf. I'm no ballerina, so I've never quite tried it.

I love ballet shoes, because I think they are pretty and so romantic. I don't particularly like colourful shoes, so my ballet shoes are black and made of suede (you can see them
here). The only problem is that I cannot wear them when it's raining :(

Lol, as pretty as they are, i think your idea that they look like 'real ballet shoes' is sadly misplaced. Real ballet shoes are either soft with ribbons ties around the ankles (not the calf) or have hard tips and are excruciatingly painful - and are meant to look like an extension of the legs. But yours are very pretty.

Yes, I do realise real ballet shoes are made of softer material. Notice that I said they LOOK like real ballet shoes, not IS EXACTLY like real ballet shoes. Besides, it would be so impractical to wear real ballet shoes out on the streets. Beyond my brief lessons of ballet when I was five, I have had no contact with ballet ever since. Wish I had continued, or at least did gymnastic.

Those green Marcs are gorgeous. And that's saying something, because MJ is at the bottom of my fave designer list. ;)

No one should wear ballet shoes after the age of 11. Please ya'll, respect yourselves! And yes leps, every girl should have at least 1 pair of red shoes, more than one is preferable and stilettos are required.

I just so happen to be vehemently opposed to women dressing themselves like little girls. Feminine is good, Girly is bad.

Ballet-like shoes are OK. But the ribbons...the ribbons put them over the top it terms of girlyness.
