Weekend Plans: Late Night Buffets

One of my favourite things to do with my friends on the weekend, is to go to late night buffets in hotels.
They are simply fabulous. They start at around 8pm and end at midnight. Perfect for catching up with friends after a long week of work. You can sit there and chat for a long time in a nice comfortable atmosphere, with a constant supply of food and drinks.
Mostly light affairs like sushi, pasta, congee, scallops and dim sums.

And of course there is the desserts. Cheesecake, caramel egg white thing, tiramisu, chocolate thing and the chocolate balls (don't remember the name of)-yum!

A great way to kick off the weekend. I haven't been to anything similar in the States besides a late night chocolate buffet at the Peninsula Chicago but one can only have so much chocolate (as hard as that is to believe). They should have more of these things in the US that I'm unaware of- any ideas?

Sounds good! Is there an age limit? I love sushi and Japanese food, especially Chicken Teriyaki. Does anyone know what those little bean pods covered in that spicy sauce are called that they give you automatically as a starter?

If you're ever in Las Vegas, they have some great buffets all over the place! I'm in Vegas right now and I don't gamble, but I can surely eat ;)

This is in Hong Kong, no? If so I swear I've been there before. I believe it had a chocolate fountain too (if it is the one in HK)

sophia, areas like Soho and Lan Kwai Fong in Hong Kong have plenty of dining spots with a diverse range of cuisines. there's no shortage of dining places elsewhere either so u shld not have a problem with the food bit. hope that helps.

This is actually the Marriot Hong Kong. Personally I'd recommend the Conrad and the Marriot. I also like the Grand Hyatt, except that one is an all sweet dessert buffet and it can be a bit much. I love these place cause they won't kick you out once your done eating as most other restuarants do.

This design is spectacular! You definitely know how to keep a reader entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Fantastic job. I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool! herbsenroute.com
