Eye Serum Recommendations Please!

During winter, I use a light eye cream every night. But now that it's summer and it's so much easier for my pores to get blocked, I've stopped using any product that is oily. For my eyes, I've switched back to using an eye serum + eye gel routine. The eye gel I'm currently using is the one by Laneige and the eye serum is by La Prairie. The problem is, by little bottle of La Prairie serum is about to run out and I need a new bottle. Not that the La Prairie serum wasn't good, but as usual, I'm on the market for one by a brand I haven't tried before.

After lots of 'research' (surfing on makeupalley.com and various beauty sites,) the first product that became an obvious choice was Sisley's famous Botanical Eye & Lip Contour Complex. Most of the reviews that I've read on MUA and heard from my friends have been very positive. Supposedly, the product is excellent. Unfortunately, after the saleslady tried it out on my hand and made me want the product, I discovered the product was more expensive than I thought. So sadly, I put it down and left.

Now I'm thinking of trying out DDF's Bio-Molecular Firming Eye Serum. Even though I haven't really read any reviews on this product, it is a bit cheaper than Sisley and looks ok. (As you can tell from the tone of my thinking about this product, I'm suddenly less picky because I'm sick of all the over-researching and thinking I do for a skincare product.) Have any of you ever used this product?

The question I have for you is, do you have any eye serum recommendations? Please help!

I recommend you Freeze24/7 products. They all are amazing

i think you are too young to use eye serum. maybe just eye cream will be fine. bobbi brown extra eye cream is quite good.

My best friend is in sales and calls on Plastic Surgeons for a living, so she has the inside scoop on what works. She gave me the "Kinerase Under Eye Rescue" for Christmas. I saw it at Sephora, and, unfortunately, it is about $85, but I use it every single night and have only gone through about 1/2 of the tube--so, over all, the price is worth it. I love this product, it really works well.
Sorry, it isn't a serum, tho.

Hello. Well, I was wondering if you have any idea on how to improve growth of breasts when you're already 18. Sometimes I feel really embarrassed when I'm wearing tubes or spaghetts or a bikini cause my friends are all rather big or just the right size for their body size. Yupp, thanks.

I'm one of those people who never really realizes if a product is good unless there is significant change, so I haven't actually found the ideal eye cream yet. I have been using Claudalie at night and this Clinique derma white one for day cause it has SPF and I am forever living in fear of dark spots.

anon 12.20: I have a really small chest too, and you could try those breast enhancing bras, working out or eating more dairy. But I think the most important thing, although admittedly the hardest thing to do, is to accept that you have a small chest and work with it. I still occasionally wish I had a slightly larger chest so I can wear certain types of clothes :P

My mom uses the eye cream by DDF and she loves it. I use their redness relief gel and some light powder for the summer and it works well and doesn't wreak havoc on my skin. Both are light, easy to apply and not to greasy.

Regardless of what eye cream you use, I've found that keeping them in the fridge makes a huge difference. According to my beauty oracle at Sephora, the cooling effect promotes blood flow to the eye region. That's why a lot of old fashioned women keep spoons in their fridge and simply press their eye countour area with it in the morning.

I vote for Dermalogica's Total Eye Care SPF 15. It's perfect - light texture, alpha hydroxy acids to reduce the appearance of lines and most importantly with an SPF to protect the delicate skin around the eyes. I think it retails for about $38.

I would strongly advise people to visit the Skin Deep Cosmetic Safety Database and check if their favorite products comply.
These independent researchers ensure that products comply with Skin Deep pairs ingredients in nearly 25,000 products against 50 definitive toxicity and regulatory databases, making it the largest integrated data resource of its kind.

This small nonprofit take on such a big project, because the FDA doesn't require companies to test their own products for safety.

Teamine was recommended by my MD @ the Medical Spa here in the US. He worked with The Famous Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon. It's under $55.

It's not a serum, it's a cream, but I LOVE Grassroots Feast Your Eyes cream. Works wonders. Good reviews on MUA about it as well.

b.kamins makes a nice eye cream - but it's around$80 :(

i'd love to try the Juice Beauty eye cream (around $40), it has great ingredients and reasonable price!

p.s. does anyone get red dots on their eyes from too-heavy eye creams??

Eye cream is the one thing I can't live without...along with large shades and a sunhat.

Ceramide Herbal Eye Cream is my number one choice, by Mario Badescu. I use it morning and night, and even carry some in my bag for touch ups (if I'm feeling dry)...If this is too heavy for your summer season, I also use the Ceramide Eye Gel. Both are extremely effective and are $18 each. Call the company by phone and they will send samples --- I'm big on texture and smell, so I like trying first.

Also, YOU ARE NOT TOO YOUNG TO START WEARING EYE CREAM. I am 33 and very thankful my grandmother told me to start wearing large eye covering sunglasses (I wear them year round, regardless of the stupid comments I receive) and eye cream when I was in high school. My eyes look years younger then other gals my age.

i wish i would have started using eye creams in high school. My mother would say this things are for older skin and now her skin looks bad compared to other people her age cause she waited till she actually saw wrinkles to use them.

Anyway in terms of how to grow more breast, well i'm 23 and i've actually grown since i was 18. I noticed a difference at 20 and 23 so there's still hope out there ladies. All i can suggest is that don't neglect them by not applying lotion, the few times i've applied is when all of the sudden they grew but that was probably just a coinsidence.

Hi
My mother is in her late 40s and she has no wrinkles in sight. She can easily pass for a 20 year old. The eye crean that my mom uses is from z.bigatti. Its excellent!!!!!!!!!! I am much younger and am using dermadocter, its light weight and has everything you need in it incase you are prone to milia. remember to put it on in the morning as well and mix it in with your spf. wear huge sunglasses!!! goodluck!

I agree with the recommendation for Dermalogica -- it's a lightweight, excellent product that has light-diffusers, which help to diminish the appearance of undereye circles as it treats the area. It's an excellent cream, especially for the price. If you are willing to spend a bit more, I suggest Peter Thomas Roth's Vita K treatment. It's potent but you only need a tiny amount, so it lasts forever (which justifies the $100 price tag). Another great undereye line is Darphin, but it's even more expensive.

Have you looked into Prescriptives? I use both their intensive rebuilding eye cream and their vibrant-c skin brightening eye cream. I normally have bad under-eye circles, puffiness, and wrinkles, but I have noticed a difference with these products. Plus, I haven't had any problems with them (and I tend to be very sensitive).

you blogged about la mer earlier - i must say that the serum de la mer is really excellent, and worth the money. i have really dry, atopic skin, and it's the only thing i've been able to use around my eyes. and it really does help. my eyes look so much brighter when the skin around them is luminous.

Elite Serum is the Best Eye Serum around. I use it every night for my dark circles since it contains Haloxyl. It's won numerous awards, it's really the only one in my book.

I second Karla on recommending Elite Serum. It is really in a league of its own and has fantastic clinical data to back up its claims.

I agree with Karla and Rick about the Elite eye serum, I have only been using this for 3 days and the results are amazing. Dark circles around my eyes are lighter, it is pricey tho ($100) but so worth it.

I've read a lot about how to get rid of dark circles, one of the prime reasons for using an eye serum. Seaweed extract seems to be a regular ingredient in natural eye serums and is found in the product that advertises on EyeCream.com called Dark Circle Serum.
