Mischa's Recent Hits, OKs and Misses

You always see Mischa Barton in the 'who's wearing the trend' or 'best outfits' sections of fashion magazines. But she is also known to wear a few not-very-flattering outfits out and about. She's a spectrum dresser -one who has hits, oks and misses. Here are a bunch of candids from this year:
Miss -White footless tights with that black shift dress look awkward together, and that pair of green sandals is definitely a no.
OK -Maybe it's because the black dress is so casual and that cardigan isn't, but this outfit is only so-and so.
Miss -The public display of bras is not cool. This dress could have been very classy if she had worn a solid top underneath.
Hit -I really like this outfit which is weird because it's all red and lacy, but it's other details like the ruffles in front and the fit are just so right. And the nude, patent shoes is a good modern choice to go with the otherwise all red outfit.
Hit- Mischa walking around in Paris. Love this outfit. It's casual in a sophisticated way.
Hit -Yes I like boring and simple outfits, although the hat and the necklace really adds something to the outfit. And yes, those are actually jeans, not pants, (I zoomed into the pic.)
Hit -Love the boho vibe from the outfit. It's boho in a pretty, not-messy way.
OK -The coat is so lovely and everything looks casual but put-together. The problem is her shoes.
OK -Mischa's wearing a nice casual little white dress for daytime, (but I don't like this particular white dress that much.) LWDs are must-haves this season!
Controversial -Loads of people made fun of Mischa wearing that dress on the left, but I think it's actually nice because it's like a sophisticated ballerina outfit. And that all-black outfit on the right, I'm not sure what but something seems off about it. Maybe it's the shorts or the leather jacket?
Hits -OK, so these aren't candids, but she (and the outfits) looked so pretty I couldn't resist. The black sequined dress with the coat are just perfect (left). And that gold dress (right) is pretty and right-on-trend without being too metallic and shiny.

Isn't it so unfair those gold Keds actually look cool with that sort-of-formal outfit (black sequined dress; above left)?

the tutu is bad...what was she thinking? don't we all sometimes put together a "creative" outfit and then regret it once we're too far from home to go back and change...i wonder if mischa also has these moments....

I like the simple white top and black pants outfit the most. Maybe the boho style dress next. Other than that ... err, they all are misses.

The bebe dress was good on her.

I love Mischa, in my mind she can do no wrong.
Anyway, she can pull anything off. She's the perfect height and size.

I don't know, it just all looks so droopy and shapeless and messy to me. Her taste in shoes, judging from the candids, is ridiculous. A nice structured piece (like the metallic dress!) would do a world of good.

The day that I will stop hearing about what Mischa's wearing, I will jump in the air in click my heels twice. BOR-RING. So many REGULAR, non-famous people dress better than she does.

I think the leather jacket with shorts outfit looks strange because it appears that she's wearing a winter outfit on the top and summer on the bottom? So it's kinda like she wore half of two different season outfits together.... Other than that when she gets it right, she gets it oh so right :)

In the last picture I didn't even notice those were gold keds they are so cute! And I thought the ballerina/flapper-y dress was really really cute.

I actually like the dress that looks like it was half put through a paper shredder...it works on her because she is a bit quirky.

Does she care? I can't tell with Mischa. She's quite pretty, and when dressed well just exudes confidence and charm, but most of the time... meh.h

I love Mischa, and like a poster above, I feel that she can do no wrong. There are some times that I think she looks better then others though, but man she is gorgeous.

And plus, the OC just sucked without her.

With mischa's height and size, she can almost pull off any trends... I think a lot of her clothes/ combinations wouldn't look good on us.

I think the shredded dress would have looked tonnes better without the black tights. I know they're in right now, but that dress is such a fragile color and texture that the two just don't go. Maybe some greyn ones if she must?

I think the dress would have looked better on someone with darker skin.

Mischa has....interesting style. To me, it sort of seems that she's got her head in the clouds when she picks out her clothing. Some of it's okay, but the weird shapelessness of some of the outfits and the randomness of others just make me think druggie. And her shoe choices are insane. I myself have big feet and the point is to make the look smaller, right? I think the Keds may be the source of all evil for dear Mischa.

honestly, her hips are too big to be wearing some of those outfits. skinny jeans and tights, unless she has a long tunic length top, really don't flatter her.

For that feathered dress
it would look good
on someone else like nicole richie because she's a stick
but it doesn't look good on her, because of her body shape.
For the third to last, it think its the shoes, if they were heels I'd like it better
personally i think mischa puts together cute outfits, but they don't really flatter her, she just tries to be on trend, but not necessarily flatttering.

Does anyone notice that mischa's legs are actually quite hideous besides the fact that they are long?

she has no knees . . .

did her hips get bigger?
not in an oh-only-skinny-is-good-down-with-fatness way but she looks different.

but mischa- shes soooo thin. too thin? i think so, her legs could be a bit less skinny, and the tight jeans would look awsome.

high waists are not modern or some comment along those lines really pissed me off. I hate it when "young people" decide what is modern or cool or boring etc,. The nerve! They just don't realise that their generation is just improvising on what really cool people created when they started revolutions in the 50's,60's and 70's. They are the ones who did the real work. I am one of the young people too but thank God my friends and I are not as spoiled, boorish and ignorant. H&M and Topshop? Get a life!
