Too Short
As much as I've been going on and on about how hot short shorts are recently, there is an occasion when I don't find them so hot. And that is when it is worn by guys. I don't mean to be sexist here, but when it comes to short shorts for guys, there is such a thing as being too short.
I thought this was just one of those obvious rules that everyone knows about and adheres to, but apparently not. When I was flicking through the Prada men's catalog for SS07- purely for research purposes of course ;)- I was aghast to see men wearing such short shorts! Call me traditional, but I do not think guys (no matter how good looking they are) should be wearing such short shorts on the streets in public unless they're going to the beach.
Especially not printed short shorts with a printed top. It just seems so inappropriate! I thought that perhaps this may be a phenomena reserved for the runway like some trends are. But my friend assures me that it is not and that one of his friends actually own a pair by Marc Jacobs. So just to reiterate, men should not wear short shorts on the streets no matter what Prada says.

lol i think the only reason the guy in the 1st pic is wearing short shorts is so it draws our attention away from the fact that he is wearing a BLOUSE..

these shorts makes guys look gay. I've actually seen a guy in person wear such short shorts, i was in the laundry room where i live and a guy with shorts walked in. They were so short that his butt was almost hanging out, i immidiately thought that he was gay. It was not nice at all!!
I agree that men probably shouldn't wear really short shorts in public but I still think they're pretty hot. Just look at their muscular legs. You can't see that if they wear pants. I think people shouldn't make it weird. Men should be able to wear short shorts in public. Let them!

I have to admit I like guys' legs and I like short shorts on men. Of course your butt or anything else shouldn't be hanging out and the younger you are the shorter they can be but those things all apply to women also. The ones in the top photo are too short, except for the beach where they would be perfect. But I like the ones in the second photo! Frankly, I'm sick of seeing guys wear long baggy shorts, especially guys who have nice legs and would really look good! I hope that the least of what comes from this is that guys will come halfway and realize that mid-thigh shorts are a viable option.
p.s. This is completely unrelated but has anyone heard about/tried this Brazilian hair straightening as an alternative to the Japanese method?

My husband has marvelous legs. In the olden days men used to wear short shorts. I loved looking at men's legs. I even volounteered to chart for the high school basketball team so I could see the great legs. I think today's basketball "shorts" are funny looking.
I think short shorts for guys are a bit odd but do-able. It'd probably look better on tanned legs.
I don't see why men should not have the freedom that women do have.... Short shorts look grat on men with muscular legs especially short guys who look terribel with the long shorts. I like something between picture one and two. In the top picture the shorts are too high and too tight and picture two they are too big. Somewhat in between.
I want to see shave legs with those....

Yes there's a girl here in South Florida that does the Brazilian hair striaghtening and she does a great job. She has a great website with the before and after photos and the change from kink to straight is amazing.

Ugh, yes. Men with hairless legs kind of creep me out. Unless they do like bike racing or something, it's icky. I don't personally want to see anyone thighs, male, female, muscular, or otherwise. Imo, bermudas are more classy and stand by the v. true phrase, LESS is more.

I'm a straight 23 year old male. I love wearing really short shorts becuase I love showing off my bubble butt and muscular legs which are not hairy. My girlfriend loves when I wear shorts shorter than hers. Wearing really short shorts gives me incentive to keep my body in shape.

Just what IS the problem with guys looking hot and sexy when they're out. Unless there's a law that mens shorts must be not less than 15.27536 centimetres, it's no-one elses business. Opponents of men in short shorts might be upset to hear what THEY wear in public will be offensive to some people.
