Tiffany Rings

I have a thing for rings. Besides my silver hoop earrings, I think that my next best jewelry investment is my 1837 Tiffany ring. I've had it for around 3 years now and I wear it everyday. It is one of those pretty accessories that matches anything and is perfect for all occasions. It is simple, clean cut and not too overtly Tiffany's (unless you look at it this closely). I love it so much, I even paid $10 to get it cleaned at Tiffany's once. Unfortunately for me even after the cleaning it didn't look like new. I guess all that banging and clanging from daily wear has finally taken its toll.

So just as a fun exercise, I thought I'd look at more rings from Tiffany. They DO make great presents after all *hint hint*. For a more elegant and delicate design, I am loving these two (left: open heart, right: closed heart). Though as girly a girl as I am, even I find the heart a little bit too girly for daily use (hmm maybe unless it meant something....). The closed heart is more versatile since it really looks more like a oddly shaped bean than a heart.
Even simpler, there is the Cushion (left) and the Torque (right). There is no question the versatility here. The Cushion is a little TOO simple for me (if I'm going to spend that kind of money, I'd like something with a bit more design and effort). I love the twisted design of the Torque, though I do wonder about how comfortable it is with all the odd angles.
I think out of all of them, these two strike the best balance between versatility and design (left: Somerset, right: Knots). It is simple yet unique. Though personally, I think the Somerset is a bit too bulky for my fingers. I much prefer the Knot, with its feminine yet simple design.

So yes, these are my just some of thoughts on Tiffany's silver rings. And the best thing about these choices in my opinion is that they are not the typical Tiffany designs. We have enough of those floating around as it is.

I can't speak to the wide Gehry Torque rings, but the narrow stackable ones are delightful to wear.

there's no denying the allure of tiffany jewelry but honestly, i think you're paying more for the little blue box that it comes in and the ability to say "this is a tiffany ring" than the actual piece.

unlike fashion, where sometimes name brand is always better because of quality issues, jewelry pretty much has a set standard. u can find amazing rings and necklaces that last you much longer than 3 years for almost nothing compared to tiffany prices.

aww i had a gold ring with huge sentimental value (because it was from my mom's teenage years) similarly textured to somerset, but mine was shaped like a belt with a gold tassel at one end. too bad it got stolen.. anyways out of these tiffanys ones, my fave is also "Knots". Because it looks "elven" (as in middle earth elven).

I completely agree with Knikki. I don't think their silver items are worth their price and are definitely not something unique and special as they are mass produced.

I received the mesh ring that you've shown, as a gift years ago. I loved it. And it stretched out! So much so that after moving it to a larger finger, it would still slip right off of my hand. I went to see if it could be fixed or replaced and they literally said, "it's mesh. what did you think it was going to do?". If you aren't paying for quality, you should be paying for customer service. If you buy the mesh, go a size lower and inquire to their policies.

I quite like the knot one. All of these, though, are chic and simple.

I recently received the Gehry Torque pendant and I'm really hoping to get the ring too.
It is so simple, and effortless, and chic.

Seriously? Tiffanys?! I have my stuff from middle school, sold most of it, but when I see a grown woman with it on [or a woman in college to be honest] I think it's too childish. If you're going to invest in something try Baccarat, Van Cleef, Cartier, something from the higher end Swarovski collection, even like a lesser known brand that uses great stones. Tiffanys is just a label whores wet dream and not worth it in the end.

I'm guilty of buying Tiffany rings too, but I think it's a ripoff. Pure silver is about $13 per ounce - most of what you're paying for is the little blue box.

I know, I know. Tiffany's is a rip-off. But I have that same exact ring and I wear it every day. I'll even admit to having a Tiffany's charm bracelet and a few necklaces. I just have a soft spot in my heart for that NYC landmark!
