Fashion Tops Trend Spring/Summer 2005

Boho luxe is the key to this season's look, as I'm sure this site has already drilled into your brain. But for those who think that the boho items are too airy and not slick enough for you, we provide a solution! This season, you will see many fashion tops (mainly jackets,) with a row of buttons. The tops also have a bit of Edwardian and military influence.
The tops are usually cropped and fitted. To be cool and fashion-foward, team these jackets with boho style skirts or loose long trousers! Think Kate Moss, think old English royalty x hippy style.

Get inspired by Chloe, Balenciaga, Anna Sui and Perry Ellis:

I would wear the MJ jacket and the Miss Selfridge sleeveless top for sure. Thanks for pointing out this trend; the fitted tops look cute with the fuller skirts and trousers.

I'm loving the marc jacobs and the white miss selfridges jacket. I think I saw a few fitted jackets with a row of buttons yesterday myself in H&M or UO or Bloomies. And Clozac is so right, will defintely add a more feminine look to the more loose bottoms popular nowadays!

What are those shoes/boots on the model with the headband?

It dawned on me that the fitted top and full skirt is really very retro, since that was the style in the 40s/50s or thereabout.

I saw an article in a trendy shopping magazine recently that paired fuller peasant tops with slim denim skirts, which I was relieved to see, since I had no idea what to do with my straight skirts.

It's the whole balance thing I have to work on, but it's nice to have so many options.

I love the Victorian look. I think these tops would look great with ruffled skirts or a nice pencil skirt.
