Totes anyone?

Recently I have gotten fed up with my shoulder book bag and have been looking around for inspiration for a new book bag. And I have finally found my inspiration in . . . drum roll please. . . Mischa Barton. Big suprise.

Mischa looked so good and so cool carrying this Le Sportsac LAMB tote bag around school and the OC that I have been inspired to find the perfect tote myself. I am just suprised that a tote bag had not previously occured to me. What can be more perfect? It is big, fits everything AND very stylish and feminine. Plus, it can be used for everyday casual wear and is big enough to be carried to the beach or on plane.

The very first on my list of considerations is this very similar white and gold tote from Le Sportsac Remix. I saw it at Bloomies this weekend and tried it on. It looked really good. It matches with everything, it is the right size, its summery and it is very stylish. I am definitely considering it. What do you think of this investment?

I also rather like this sand floral tote from American Eagle. I love the casual shape and the subtle pattern of it. I can defintely see someone wearing it in the summer, esp on the beach.

Is this not such a cute tote? I've had my eye on this tote from Intuition for quite some time now. The color of it is so versatile, it has a zip, the words are really cute and the fact that they're made with sequinces just adds an extra oomph to the tote.

Ah. . the choices a girl has to make. . .

Once again and as usual the Girls are right on! I was recently on an Ivy League campus and totes were rampant! Few backpacks or even messenger bags to be seen. Backpacks have been de riguer on college campi for thirty years or more, so such a shock this was to my system. But cute they were. I wasn't able to ascertain any certain IT tote, although I'm sure IT's out there. One thing I did notice is that the handles are longer, such as the one carried by the young lady in the first picture, making them easier to sling over the shoulder. I'm currently looking for the perfect tote; let me know when you find yours! (I like the AE; looks as if it would hold plenty of stuff.)

...but I must say the white and gold is very classy and would be incredibly versatile...I could bond with it easily....

Totes must totally be in the zeitgeist, because sometime in the last couple of months, as if the message were being broadcast directly into my brain from some unseen power, I began to obsess about finding the perfect tote. I began to glory in the perfect form that is the tote. I lingered over tote bags in stores. And now I see you got the broadcast too. (I found my perfect canvas tote — in magenta with orange piping, by Le Petit Bateau — in Tokyo Joe's consignment shop in NYC.)

How long before we start seeing the stars toting around Le Bag again??? Am I the only one who remembers these?

The Pink tote is uberrad. I'm so tired of the Vanessa Bruno bags and their spawn; I tried adding sequined patches and airbrushing to make mine more unique, but it's STILL too LL Bean for me. Good recommendation.

I totally love the LeSportsac (and all the different colors!!) and the AE one. The Pink is TOTALLY cute, but just doesn't seem very versatile.

The pink bag reminds me of the Pinko Bag, produced by Pinko, an Italian fashion brand. Maybe the Intuition tote is just an imitation (in Italy, we saw for months bad imitations of the original Pinko bag!). I prefer the white & silver tote with charms by Le Sportsac.

I am defintely leaning towards the Le Sportsac remix. .I agree, its classy and very versatile. . now if only my wallet can afford that. But the pink bag is indeed super cute. . and thanks Superqueen for bringing to my attention the "Pinko bag". Intuition defintely has a tendency to imitate elements of brand named items. Congrats to those who have found the perfect tote and goodluck to those still looking for "the one."

Now PINKO sells even online its original bags. Give a look to www.shoppinko.it: there is also the new PINKO bag spring/summer 2006 edition!

I hope this can be useful,
cheers!

im so sick and tired of my bookbag, eww its so high school. i also hate carrying books in my hands so i need something easy and stylish to put my books in. i think its a good idea to have a tote when your in college cuz bookbags are ugly. it's also good to have a few totes in your purse collection (thats 'if' your big on purses). Yesterday i ordered a cute baby phat tote. But im trying to get the Luis Vuitton multicolor tote called the auriellan (however ite spelled, lol). it costs like $1,600 but it's worth it.
